Everything’s Coming Up Roses…and Cherries.

One of the previous residents of this house, sure did love roses. Since we arrived in the summer last year, I couldn’t fully appreciate them until now. Here’s the facade of the barn. There are also rosebushes by the well, the old stable and the front of house. Beautiful!

A giant valentine’s day cliche, a vase of red roses, has appeared in the backyard. I don’t know what this concrete object is, but it looks lovely topped with these flowers.

Also discovered not one, but two, huge cherry trees in the yard. These should be ready for picking in late May/early June. Must learn to make cherry tarts, cherry jam, cherry juice, cherry crumble, cherry… Send instructions please!
